FAQ

Below are some of the frequently asked questions regarding hiring an auctioneer from Auction Legacy.  Please contact us direclty with any other questions  regarding Auction Legacy, our auctioneers or hiring an Auction Legacy auctioneer.

  1. What does it cost for me to hire an Auction Legacy auctioneer for my event?

    - In almost all cases the cost of hiring a Legacy auctioneer more than pays for itself with dramatically increased revenue. Depending on the size and nature of your group we utilize various payment options which include:

    - Buyers Premium- Most of the costs are actually paid by the buyers in a standard auction premium that is added to the final price of a lot sold.

    - Flat Fee- Mostly in the case of larger charitable auctions that gross very high numbers we can work out a flat fee for auction and auctioneer services.

    - Percentage of auction proceeds- You pay a pre-agreed upon percentage of the auction proceeds. This works with smaller and newer groups who aren’t sure yet what the auction will yield. This can also be utilized with a Buyers Premium so that costs are lower to the organization.

  2. Where do you conduct auctions?

While Auction Legacy mainly does auctions in South Florida and Southern California, we can and have traveled all over the US and the world. We currently hold licenses in most states and in the last year have conducted auctions in Florida, California, New York, Michigan, Las Vegas, Arizona, Maryland, New Mexico, Illinois, Washington and the District of Columbia.

  3. What type of venues have you done auctions in?

There are not many venue’s we have not used. Auction Legacy is comfortable in blue jeans and boots in the desert to a tuxedo on Wall Street. Our auctioneers have conducted auctions at Waldorf Astoria, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Inn at Spanish Bay and some of the top properties available. We have also done fun themed auctions in deserted mining villages, poolside in shorts, and from a bar top in a saloon. There is no venue we can’t work with.
